The names of three stations in Uttar Pradesh have been changed. Railways has announced the renaming of three stations in Pratapgarh district of Uttar Pradesh. The Home Ministry had approved changing the names of these stations in July. These stations include Pratapgarh Junction, Antu Station and Bishnathganj Station.
In a press release from the Railways, it was said that the name of Pratapgarh Railway Station was changed to Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction. Antu railway station has been renamed as Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu and Bishnathganj has been renamed as Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj. Pratapgarh MP Sangam Lal Gupta had urged the Center to change the names of three stations.
