Three children died due to drowning in Delhi's Jahangirpur on Friday. All three had gone to bathe near H Block. It is being told that the metro work was going on at the spot, due to rain a lake had formed there. In this all of them went to bathe.
Police said that all three had gone to bathe in the afternoon. The information reached us around 3 o'clock. The deceased children have been identified as Ashish, Nikhil, and Piyush. At present, the matter is being investigated as to how they reached here and how this incident happened with them.
On the other hand, the record-breaking rise in the water level of Yamuna for the last four days has added to the difficulties of the people of Delhi. Even though the water level is receding now, the crisis still persists. Yamuna is flowing above the danger mark in Delhi after heavy rains. The spate of the river remains intact. Due to increase in the water level of Yamuna, the situation has worsened in many areas. People in low-lying areas are being shifted to safer places.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena visited Yamuna at various places including ITO. During this, the Lieutenant Governor said that the Army, NDRF, Delhi Jal Board, Irrigation and Flood Department and other departments of the Delhi government are working together on a war footing to deal with the flood situation in Delhi. Its effect will also be visible in the coming four to five hours.
