The newly elected President of Congress Mallikarjun Kharge has assumed office today i.e. on Wednesday. During this, he said that this is a very important moment for him. He praised Sonia Gandhi and said that Sonia Gandhi handled the Congress. He has thanked the party.

This is the first time in the last 24 years that a non-Nehru-Gandhi family member is holding the post of Congress President.

Sonia Gandhi has congratulated Mallikarjun Kharge on the occasion of his coronation. Sonia Gandhi said that Kharge has occupied the post of President due to his hard work and dedication. She said that now I will be relieved of great responsibility.

In his first address as president, Kharge said it was an emotional moment for him. A common worker of the party, the son of a laborer has got the privilege of becoming the Congress President today. He has expressed his gratitude for this honour.

In his first speech as president, Kharge thanked Sonia Gandhi. He said that Sonia Gandhi has made many sacrifices for the party, Kharge said that in future only Sonia Gandhi's blueprint will be carried forward.

In Kharge's coronation, Sonia Gandhi said that she is very happy today. He said that Kharge is a hardworking and responsible leader. Congress will progress under his supervision.

After becoming the president, Kharge will also have to face many challenges. Himachal, Gujarat elections are on the head. Apart from this, assembly elections are going to be held in 9 states in the next year i.e. 2023. In such a situation, there are challenges like mountains in front of Kharge.

Lok Sabha elections are also to be held in the year 2024. The performance of Congress has decreased in the last two Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, it will be a big responsibility for Kharge to give accurate base to the party in the coming times and do better in the Lok Sabha elections.
