A new analysis from the Brennan Center denounces how the manipulation of congressional districts to tilt the results of the elections affects voters and their right to vote. elections in favor of a political party in the United States.
The analysis titled "Trump's Anti-Voting Agenda Crystallizes" denounces how the Donald Trump Administration is campaigning to manipulate the election results and the consequences of the federal government itself threatening that the elections will not be free and fair.
Michael Waldman, president and CEO of the Brennan Center for Justice at the New York University School of Law, says in his analysis: "This year, a new threat to free and fair elections has emerged: the federal government itself."
"It is now clear that the Trump administration is launching a campaign to undermine elections in the United States. A major new analysis from the Brennan Center uses facts to explain reality. “All of this is unprecedented. In many cases, it’s illegal. It’s alarming. And it’s begun to happen in plain sight,” Waldman explains. Waldman is referring to the federal government’s manipulation of the election exposed in “The Trump Administration’s Campaign to Undermine the Upcoming Election,” the Brennan Center’s expert brief released August 3 that lists the Trump administration’s actions to manipulate the election, some well-known and some that are largely under the radar. This resource offers the first chronicle of the Trump administration’s actions this year to undermine the integrity of the election. These include:
Author Jasleen Singh comments that the administration's election-related actions "show a clear pattern that suggests a growing effort. As the 2026 midterm elections approach, That effort is likely to gain momentum.

A serious warning
“All of this is more than just politics, more than the usual fights over the rules and struggles for momentary advantage. For the federal government to intervene in this way—for the president to personally attempt to seize power to intervene in our election system with such brazenness—is unprecedented. And it is unquestionably against the law,” Waldman warns in his analysis.
He then notes: “Ultimately, it will come down to the people who vote. It’s harder to rig an election when the people are watching…and screaming.” A high turnout in the elections can defeat any attempt at fraud."
"So let's stay alert. This great struggle will become an increasingly important event as we approach next November and, undoubtedly, in the more distant future. All of this is much more than the typical clashes between political parties," Waldman concluded.
