Senator Alex Padilla made it clear this Tuesday May 12 his support for Karen Bass in her race to be re-elected as mayor of Los Angeles.
Padilla, in a statement, highlighted the leadership led by Bass in opposing the raids unleashed by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) since June 2025, ordered by the administration of President Donald Trump.
“Karen Bass has led Los Angeles through difficult times. When the Trump administration deployed troops to our communities and separated families, Mayor Bass stayed firm and defended Angelenos,” said Senator Padilla.
