Trump travels again on the old presidential plane for fear of being attacked by Iran
Donald Trump once again resorted to Force One, since the reconditioned plane that would replace it does not have adequate security systems
To return to the United States from Turkey, where he attended the summit of leaders of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), President Donald Trump once again used the old Force One, for security reasons against the fear of being attacked by Iran.
Although the New York magnate recently presented the reconditioned plane that the Qatari royal family gave him as an alternative to replace the two Force Ones in which he used to travel, something seems to have not convinced him on his outbound trip to the city of Ankara and on his return to Washington he asked to use one of the old aircraft mentioned.
During a press conference before leaving the NATO summit, Trump announced that the plane of Qatari origin, whose market value was around $400 million, would be sent to the United States through Europe, presumably with the objective that the American soldiers stationed in a couple of military bases located in countries of the Old Continent could see it and appreciate how impressive it looks.
However, the main reason for the change in transportation was due to the security factor, as the head of the nation chose to reduce any possibility of being vulnerable.
"I am number one on Iran's list of targets to be eliminated, number one on the list of assassins. Actually, I don't care because I am doing my job. We will return home by the usual methods," he said.
Through a publication shared on the Truth Social platform, the 80-year-old president detailed part of the itinerary that awaited the millionaire plane with the red and gold stripes.
"To honor our brave men and women of the Armed Forces, we are sending the brand new and truly spectacular Air Force One to Mildenhall Air Force Base in the United Kingdom for the opportunity to visit the aircraft. Everyone is very excited, and we thought you should be the first," he wrote.
It should be noted that, prior to Trump's trip to Turkey, the Associated Press (AP) news agency had already emphasized that the new plane was allegedly not equipped with the same missile detection and countermeasure systems as the old Force One, a situation that makes it vulnerable.
