Governor of Kentucky asks to clarify the state of health of Senator Mitch McConnell
After Mitch McConnell was hospitalized for three weeks, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear requested a report on what is really happening to the senator.
As Mitch McConnell's absence in the Senate continues, pressure also increases to know what his state of health really is and now Andy Beshear, governor of Kentucky, joins in, demanding more precise details about the illness that has kept the Republican hospitalized for more than three weeks.
Although Kate Noyes, spokesperson for John Barrasso, said in a brief statement that the president of the Senate Republican Conference recently spoke by phone with Mitch McConnell and that he also allegedly did the same with John Thune, Senate majority leader, there is no evidence that the 84-year-old politician is even in a position to establish any type of communication.
Another unusual situation is that his wife Elaine Chao, former Secretary of Transportation, preferred to continue with a philanthropic trip she was taking to China when she found out that the Kentucky senator is hospitalized.
Faced with so much expectation surrounded by questions, Democrat Andy Beshear wrote a letter requesting a detailed report explaining what is happening to the senator with the longest service in American history.
“In recent weeks, Kentuckians have become increasingly concerned about their health and well-being, as well as their ability to serve in the United States Senate.
“As Governor, I ask that you fully inform Kentuckians of your current health status,” he wrote.
So far, there is no image or audio recording where it can be confirmed that the experienced democrat has overcome the bitter possibility of ending up hospitalized again.
In recent years, Mitch McConnell has fallen spectacularly at least twice, while on another couple of occasions he froze in front of those listening to him and also got a large cut on his face without mentioning details about it.
