Wrestlers Protest: FIR named against 12 people including Sakshi, Vinesh and Bajrang, 15 policemen have complained

The Sansad Marg police station of New Delhi district has named 12 people, including wrestlers, who staged a sit-in for creating ruckus and breaking barricades at Jantar Mantar. Delhi Police woman constable Priyanka has alleged that wrestler Sakshi Malik kicked her. Due to this he got injured. MLC has been formed of 15 policemen who were injured in the uproar. The Delhi Police said that the wrestlers would not be allowed to protest at Jantar Mantar. On the other hand, it is being told that most of the wrestlers left for their homes from Delhi on Monday.
An FIR has been registered on the complaint of Havildar Madhav, posted at Barakhamba police station in New Delhi district. Apart from Madhav, 15 injured policemen including woman policeman Priyanka have given complaints. Madhav has said in the complaint that the wrestlers protesting at Jantar Mantar announced at 10.30 am in a press conference that they are going to hold Mahila Samman Mahapanchayat in front of the new Parliament House. Senior police officers present on the spot explained to the wrestlers that the Prime Minister was inaugurating the new Parliament building. It is a matter of honor and pride of the country. Despite this, wrestlers started moving forward under the leadership of Bajrang Punia, Vinesh Phogat and Sakshi Malik. The wrestlers jumped the first barricade and then broke the second barricade. After this, while pushing and shoving, they started running towards the new Parliament House.
Havaldar Madhav says that the wrestlers beat him up while being taken into custody. Madhav was admitted to Lady Hardinge Medical College. Twelve policemen injured were admitted to RML and three to Lady Hardinge Hospital. Havildar Priyanka had called on 112 number regarding the fight being done by the wrestlers. Sansad Marg police station has captured the footage of CCTV cameras installed at Jantar Mantar. Apart from this, recording has also been taken from the police. No one was arrested in this case till Monday evening.

Delhi Police spokesperson Deputy Commissioner Suman Nalwa said that if the wrestlers seek permission to stage a protest next time, they will be allowed to protest at another place, not Jantar Mantar. Actually, after the clash on Sunday, the wrestler Sakshi had said that now he will do Satyagraha at Jantar Mantar.
FIR has been registered in these sections
The Delhi Police had detained 109 people, including wrestlers, who created ruckus at Jantar Mantar. Sections of rioting, obstructing government work and breaking barricades etc. have been imposed against them. There is a provision of imprisonment for up to seven years in these sections.
Wrestlers were sitting at Jantar Mantar without permission
A senior police officer of New Delhi district said that the wrestlers had not taken permission to sit at Jantar Mantar. The police had given permission for the dharna on the first day. After this, the wrestlers did not take permission for the dharna. Police officials say that all the protesters are respectable people of the country. In such a situation, the police felt that they would do a peaceful demonstration, but the wrestlers tried to harm the country's reputation on Sunday.
