Brazil will not hold back anything against Panama: Ancelotti revealed that he will play with 4 forwards
The Brazilian team will face one of its last tests heading to the 2026 World Cup with an offensive team designed by Carlo Ancelotti
Carlo Ancelotti cleared up any doubts about the Brazil team's lineup for the friendly against Panama, the Canarinha's penultimate preparation match before its participation in the 2026 World Cup.
The Italian coach confirmed this Saturday the starting team that will take to the field at the Maracaná stadium, betting on an offensive proposal led by Vinícius Júnior, Raphinha, Matheus Cunha and Luiz Henrique.
Brazil's starting eleven to face Panama
During a press conference held in Teresópolis, Ancelotti revealed that Alisson will be in charge of defending the Brazilian goal.
The defensive line will be made up of Wesley and Alex Sandro on the sides, while Léo Pereira and Bremer will make up the central pair.
In the core area, the strategist will maintain confidence in Casemiro and Bruno Guimarães, two footballers who have become fundamental pieces since the arrival of “Carletto” to the Brazilian bench in May 2025.
Vinícius and Raphinha will command the Brazilian attack
The absences due to injury of Rodrygo and Estêvão, both ruled out for the World Cup, forced the coaching staff to reorganize the offense.
Therefore, the attack will be made up of Luiz Henrique, currently at Zenit, along with Vinícius Júnior, Matheus Cunha and Raphinha, who will assume the responsibility of generating danger in the last third of the field.
The coach had already tested this same formation during practice on Friday, so the team will not present last-minute modifications.
“In the second half I will change,” anticipated the award-winning former Real Madrid coach.
Brazil continues its preparation for the 2026 World Cup
The Brazilian team remains concentrated since Wednesday at the Comary Farm, a training complex of the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) located in Teresópolis, Rio de Janeiro.
Currently, Ancelotti has 23 of the 26 players called up to compete in the 2026 World Cup.
The only absentees are Marquinhos, Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhães, who are playing in the Champions League final with Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal.
The last friendlies before the World Cup debut
After facing Panama, Brazil will play its last preparation match on June 6 against Egypt at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, United States.
Subsequently, Canarinha will focus fully on its participation in the 2026 World Cup, a tournament in which it will play the entire group stage on American soil.
The debut of the Brazilian team will be on June 13 against Morocco in New Jersey. They will later face Haiti on June 19 in Philadelphia and close the first round against Scotland on June 24 in Miami.
With Carlo Ancelotti at the helm and a generation led by Vinícius Júnior and Raphinha, Brazil will seek to regain international prominence and fight for a new world crown.
