Javier Hernández considers that the "Ant" has all the conditions to succeed. Chicharito considers that González's level should be more valued
Armando González is one of the young figures in Mexican football. The Chivas forward from Guadalajara imposed his conditions in a team type in which Javier Hernández and Alan Pulido were looking to be starters. Chicharito believes that the “Hormiga” can be the next Mexican idol.
In an interview for TUDN, Javier Hernández considered that Armando González's value isn't being well-measured. Chicharito insinuated that the “Ant” is an undervalued player in the MX Liga due to what he has already done in the tournament.
“No, he doesn't have things, he's been two tournaments scoring 12 goals. This is where I don't understand all of us; there are players who come out, make three good games, make a goal and if someone is left-footed, it's "We compare with Messi, if he's high, we compare him with Ibra, but now we have a Mexican from Chivas who has 24 goals in two tournaments and we don't want to put him in Europe," said the former Real Madrid player.
It is not worth mentioning that Armando González has been linked to several European football clubs. Sporting Lisbon has been one of the most popular teams. In the Germany Bundesliga he/she/he/she/it/has/also been named as an interesting player for the tournament.
Javier Hernández was his mentor at Chivas of Guadalajara. Properly, Chicharito highlighted the mentality of the 23-year-old forward. The former Real Madrid player believes that the “Ant” can be the next great Idol of Aztec football.
“If he can continue focusing and only enjoying what he does, I believe that we are going to have another idol from Mexico without any doubt because that kid has a delivery that people and does a lot of things outside the ordinary,” he said.
Armando González had two very good seasons with the Rebaño Sagrado. In the Apertura 2025 he scored 12 goals and conceded 1 assist. For El Clausur a 2026 left exactly the same records, but with one less game. The “Ant” has been an essential player in the process of Gabriel Milito.
