The 25-year-old winger was questioned about his absence from El Tri's call. Diego Lainez maintained composure at press conference and is convinced that the decision did not go through any personal issue.

“Javier has many options and he chose the one that is best for his style of play. It's a matter of taste. He has been very respectful to me,” said the former Real Betis footballer.

Despite not being in the call, Diego Lainez offers his support to the Mexican team. But the fact of not being in the World Cup allows “Factor” to face the Liguilla 2026 with the Tigres of the UANL. One objective for another: the Clausura 2026.
