Messi buys property in Barcelona for $13.5 million dollars
The Argentine star acquired an emblematic building in one of the most listed areas of Barcelona
Leo Messi continues to expand his investments off the courts. The world champion with Argentina acquired the old gale rias Via Wagner, located in the exclusive area of Turó Park, in Barcelona, for a value close to $13.5 million dollars.
The operation occurs just days after the purchase of UE Cornellà, a club that plays in the fifth category of the f Spanish utbol, movement that confirms the growing interest of the Inter Miami footballer in strengthening his business presence in Catalonia.

Messi bets strong on the real estate market in Barcelona
The acquisition was carried out through the Socimi Edificio Rostower, company owned by Leo Messi, as confirmed by Santomera Bay, firm in charge of the sale of the property.
The building remained closed since 1993 due to differences between the owners of the 87 commercial premises that made up the complex. Now, with the former FC Barcelona player as new owner, the property will be subjected to a comprehensive remodeling.
The project contemplates transforming the 4,000 square meters of the property to allocate it to the rental market, into one of the most exclusive and listed areas in Barcelona.
Messi's new project already awakens interest among large investors
According to the selling company, different financial firms and international operators have already shown interest in occupying the property once the renovation is completed.
“The project raises the interest of several tier 1 operators in the financial field as potential occupants, although it has not yet been closed who will finally occupy the asset,” said Santomera Bay.
The company also explained that the property had awakened interest among important investment groups before the purchase by the company linked to Leo Messi.
Leo Messi's investments don't stop growing
In addition to his sports businesses, Leo Messi has strengthened his presence in the hotel and gastronomic sector in Spain.
His business group controls the MiM Hotels chain, with properties located in tourist destinations such as Sitges, Ibiza, Mallorca, Baqueira, Sotogrande and Andorra, operated by Meliá Hotels International.
He is also the owner of the Hincha restaurants, run by the renowned chef Nandu Jubany, thus consolidating a diversified business strategy beyond football.
Barcelona continues to be key in Messi's life
Although he currently plays in the MLS with Inter Miami, Leo Messi's relationship with Barcelona continues to be very close.
The Argentine lived in the city from 2000 to 2021, a stage in which he built one of the most successful careers in the history of world football with FC Barcelona.
