Twitter today said on Thursday that it is working on an edit button to allow users to edit their tweets. And if all goes well, then soon people will have this facility. Twitter is testing: Twitter is currently on trial mode for editing the message. The social media company posted a blog saying that it is testing the tweet editing feature internally. It plans to roll it out to customers of its 'Premium Twitter Blue' service later this month if the test returns positive results.

Edits to be made within 30 minutes of posting: The 'Edit' feature will give users 30 minutes after posting the tweet for the first time to correct errors or make changes such as adding hashtags. Users will see a label and icon with a set amount of time to make it clear whether a Tweet has been modified.

Users will be able to see past versions of Tweets by 'tapping' at the level. Twitter said it is testing the 'edit' feature with a small group of users to help identify and resolve potential issues.
