Major damage is being estimated due to a severe avalanche in a city located in the southwest region of China's Tibet. It has been told that at least eight people have died due to this avalanche in Nyingchi city, while many people got buried under the snow that fell from the mountains. 

How serious this disaster is can be gauged from the fact that the Chinese government has sent a rescue team to help the people trapped here. This relief-rescue team is trying to find the missing people besides extracting the dead bodies of the people buried in the snow. 

Significantly, the height of Nyingchiki is 9300 feet above sea level. It is also called the Switzerland of Tibet. According to China's Xinhua News Agency, the avalanche occurred on Tuesday night around 8 pm on the road connecting Pai village located in Menling County. Many people are estimated to be buried in it. According to the Global Times, in view of the seriousness of the incident, the Chinese government sent 131 people and 28 vehicles for the rescue mission overnight. 

Apart from this, the Ministry of Emergency Management of China has also dispatched a rescue team. This includes 246 personnel, 70 vehicles and 994 search devices, which will be used to evacuate the trapped people. Apart from this, 10 large equipment have also been sent to the area to find the missing people.
