Raid at massage spa in Harris County uncovers alleged prostitution network
An undercover operation ended with four arrests, including that of the establishment manager. They are investigating whether the case is linked to human trafficking.
An intelligence effort lasting several days culminated on August 6, 2025 with a raid at the QQ Spa Massage, located in the 10500 block of West FM 1960, in northwest Harris County, Texas.
According to the official report, authorities began the investigation after receiving multiple citizen complaints about alleged prostitution activities inside the establishment.
An undercover detective, posing as a customer, reported that one of the employees attempted to seduce him into performing sexual acts on him in exchange for money. In addition, the business manager, identified as Mei Lin, allegedly offered him sexual services from another spa worker.
Arrests and Seizures
Mei Lin, who was the only licensed therapist at the establishment, was arrested and faces charges of promoting prostitution. According to authorities, both she and the other spa employee are in the United States on work visas.
During the operation, two men who were present tried to flee but were arrested by officers. These are Anderson Javier Rodríguez Garay and Michael Jordan García, accused of evading arrest.
At the scene, investigators seized several cell phones and more than $8,000 in cash, which were allegedly linked to the illicit activities.
The investigation remains open and authorities have not ruled out filing additional charges, both for prostitution and human trafficking.
Precinct 4 Sheriff Mark Herman warned that these types of businesses are often part of exploitation networks, in which foreign women are brought to the United States with false promises of residency or citizenship, only to be forced to work in abusive conditions, whether sexual or labor-related.
In recent years, Harris County has stepped up operations against establishments operating under the guise of spas or massage parlors, but which in reality would be centers of sexual exploitation.
Herman reiterated that citizen collaboration is key to detecting and reporting these types of cases, and urged those who suspect illegal activities to contact the authorities anonymously.
