Bar in Idaho offers free beer for a month to anyone who helps ICE deport undocumented migrants
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security shared the bar's post and responded to the ad with a GIF
An Idaho bar, identified as the "Old State Saloon," is offering "free beer for a month" on its social media to anyone who provides information to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to help deport undocumented migrants.
“ALERT: Anyone who helps ICE identify and ultimately deport an illegal immigrant from Idaho will receive FREE BEER FOR A MONTH at Old State Saloon!” reads a pinned message on the bar's Twitter account.
In response to the Old State Saloon's announcement, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) shared the post and replied with a GIF of Earl Sinclair, a character from the 90s TV series “Dinosaurs,” dropping a glass with a surprised expression.
The post also prompted reactions from some users who joked and posted comments such as: “Last call to patriots”; “Suddenly, half of Homeland Security is drunk”; “Idaho is about to have the most secure border in the United States at midnight,” among other messages.
The announcement from this bar, located in the historic Orville Jackson Pharmacy building in downtown Eagle, Idaho, comes two days after Thanksgiving.
