Due to the federal government shutdown, during the afternoon and evening of this Monday, October 6, the Hollywood-Burbank Airport will be without air traffic controllers, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) warned.

The Federal aviation officials were making every effort to staff the airport's control tower, which was expected to be empty by 4:15 p.m., ABC reported.

According to the FAA, the regional airport would be without air traffic controllers until at least 10:00 p.m. Monday, although efforts were being made to fill the positions before then.
