Jorge Ramos and Paola Ramos join forces in a new podcast in English
The well-known Mexican journalist announced his new project with his daughter, Paola, which will be called 'The Moment'
After his surprising departure from Univision last December —after four decades as an emblematic face of Noticiero Univision—, the legendary Mexican journalist Jorge Ramos returns to the microphones, this time in a modern and personal format: a podcast in English with his daughter, fellow journalist Paola Ramos.
“Not only am I returning to news, but this is an incredible opportunity to work for the first time in English and with my daughter Paola,” Jorge Ramos said in a statement.
“Few people know that we talk almost daily on the phone about the news of the day. And now, My Cultura and Radio Ambulante Studios are helping us spread our intergenerational conversations.”
A Space for Dialogue
The podcast promises to be a space for in-depth and relevant dialogue, where father and daughter will interview influential figures—politicians, artists, activists, and journalists—to analyze current issues from a Latinx perspective.
Among the first confirmed guests are Democratic mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani of New York; Actor and activist John Leguizamo; Anthony Romero, Executive Director of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU); and renowned Chilean-American author Isabel Allende.
“With this podcast, we want to be the space where people go when they have something important to say about the Latino community,” said Ramos, underscoring the show’s purpose: to create an intergenerational and cultural bridge where Latino voices find resonance in an increasingly globalized environment.
The podcast will premiere on September 17 through the iHeartRadio app and will be available on all podcast platforms. Episodes will be published weekly.offering up-to-date analysis and conversations based on his Latino heritage in an American context.
This return marks a new chapter in the career of Jorge Ramos, who after 40 years in Hispanic television, is reinventing himself in the digital world, this time with the help of his daughter—an emerging and powerful voice in English-language journalism.
