Videos show a severely beaten and unconscious man detained by immigration agents at a gas station in Minnesota
An identified man was severely beaten and then detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol agents at a gas station in Minnesota.
According to videos and shared on social media, the events occurred at a Speedway gas station, located at the intersection of Snelling and Portland avenues, on Sunday afternoon.
The video shows An adult male was seen lying motionless on the ground, surrounded by several ICE agents, then being carried away by four agents. The man's whereabouts are unknown. He has been identified as Orbin Mauricio Henriques Serrano or Orbin Mauricio Enriquez Serrano, although his identity has not been confirmed. A report from local television station Fox9 indicates that agents have detained anyone, regardless of whether they are immigrants or not, as happened with an eyewitness who was recording the events with his cell phone. He was arrested but later released Sunday night, according to his girlfriend, who spoke to the station. Another witness, Angel Castillo Saldana, from St. Paul, recounted what he saw during the arrest. "I arrived here with a lot of confused people, and that's what I found. Not knowing what had happened. I saw some videos of how they dragged him away, a US citizen born here in St. Paul, for exercising his rights," Saldana said. "He was filming ICE on private property, and they took him away.
