Barking Dog Helps Los Angeles Sheriff Arrest Texas Fugitive
An LASD sheriff arrested a man in the Santa Clarita Valley who has a warrant out of Texas; the subject was in possession of methamphetamine
The intense barking of a dog alerted a deputy from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department (LASD), who was working a night shift, allowing him to arrest a fugitive from Texas.
In a post on social media, the Santa Clarita Valley police station reported that, around 3:30 a.m. On July 10, an officer was patrolling near Newhall Avenue and Sierra Highway when he heard a dog's insistent barking.
As he approached, the sheriff realized that the barking was coming from inside a vehicle, which was parked in the nearby park and ride along the Antelope Valley Highway.
