2026 Integra ASpec Tech: you can't fix what isn't damaged
This refresh celebrates 40 years of the iconic model, although it leaves us wanting a little more spark
The 2026 Integra ASpec Tech is easy to use. Its gear changes – it only comes in manual configuration – are precise and to the point. The one we tested is also attractive, with a front grille in the same deep blue as its body and an extra-sporty design, particularly noteworthy considering it's a five-door car, almost a hatchback. It comes with 18-inch gloss black wheels, ambient lighting for a more premium look, and three new colors: Double Apex Blue, Urban Gray Pearl, and Solar Silver Metallic. Its trunk is spacious enough for shopping or a couple's camping trip, and the redesign launched last year adds luxurious interior details and practical buttons for simple functions instead of endless digital menus. Furthermore, its interface is simple and practical.
The Orchid interior incorporates new blue accents, and the Ebony interior features new yellow stitching on the seats, steering wheel, gearshift boot, and door panels, as well as a new metallic film on the dashboard.
It falls a little short in terms of power, which, viewed from another perspective, perhaps makes it a safer car than its competitors.
Its 1.5-liter VTEC turbo engine delivers 200 horsepower, and its integrated dynamic system allows you to choose your preferred driving mode: Normal, Comfort, or Sport, although its suspension is generally tuned and sporty. The Integra is built on an exceptionally rigid body and a chassis tuned for sporty handling, with a fully independent suspension to deliver class-leading driving dynamics, sporty handling, and a comfortable ride, the brand states. With this refresh, the model deservedly celebrates 40 well-lived years, making it more than memorable not only for its long history and popularity among drivers, but also for its persistence in a ruthless environment that wants to turn everything into an SUV. Integras in Double Apex Blue Pearl or Performance Red Pearl feature a body-colored sport grille or a gloss black grille.Available as an accessory and standard on all other exterior colors. Buyers can personalize their appearance by opting for body-color grilles as an accessory on models painted in Urban Gray Pearl and Platinum White Pearl. The 9-inch touchscreen, previously exclusive to the A-Spec with Technology Package, is now standard on the other trims, and every Integra includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. However, its wireless phone charger allows you to slide your phone in, hindering faster and more efficient charging. Similarly, its rear pedestrian sensor isn't the most reliable we've tested and leaves room for improvement to enhance safety. Overall, it made us feel right at home with its good handling dynamics and practicality, but perhaps it won't quite ignite the spark for the most adventurous drivers. However, its price of $41,095 (including handling and destination charges) makes it a tempting offer for those who enjoy the simple pleasure of driving.
