The suspect in the $100 million jewelry robbery in Southern California, one of the largest heists in U.S. history, avoided trial after receiving authorization to self-deport to self-deport to South America by federal immigration officials.
Jeson Lelon Presilla Flores, originally from Chile, was one of seven people charged last year in the 2022 robbery of a Brink's armored truck north of Los Angeles, with a haul of diamonds, emeralds, gold, and designer watches.
