Hispanic woman dies after being stabbed in a gas station in southwest Harris County

A woman identified as Anna Sanchez, 43, died Thursday night after being stabbed inside a gas station located on Highway 6 South near Beechnut in southwest Harris County, Texas.
According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, the incident occurred at approximately 10:45 p.m. at a Super Stop and Phillips 66 gas station. According to Sergeant Johnson, Sanchez was sitting in front of a gaming machine when she engaged in a brief conversation with a man. During that interaction, the man repeatedly stabbed her in the chest and head.
The woman was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.
Authorities describe the suspect as a Hispanic man of medium build, between 25 and 35 years old, who fled the scene on a bicycle after the attack.
The Sheriff's Department is asking the community to provide any information that may help identify or locate the assailant.
