Charli XCX married drummer George Daniel
The American singer and the musician of the British band The 1975 celebrated an intimate ceremony in London attended only by family and friends
The American singer Charli XCX and George Daniel, drummer of the British band The 1975, were married in an intimate and low-key ceremony held on Saturday in London.
The singer British bride Charlotte Emma Aitchison said "I do" to her boyfriend at Hackney Town Hall.
Charli XCX wore an elegant strapless ivory gown and carried a bouquet of white flowers in a simple style, which she accessorized with pointe shoes and her loose, slightly wavy hair. George Daniel opted for a classic black suit with a subtle white corsage in his lapel.
The wedding was a private affair, with around 20 guests including family and close friends. The members of the band The 1975 attended mostly, except for vocalist Matty Healy, with whom George Daniel shares a musical career.
The ceremony was brief, warm and emotional, adjusting to the unique and discreet style of the couple, who have always kept their relationship away from the media spectacle.
Charli XCX and George Daniel made their engagement official in 2023, after three years of relationship. The couple met in 2019 and went public with their relationship on social media in 2022.
Although their civil wedding has already taken place, they are expected to celebrate a bigger party in Sicily, Italy, soon.
This wedding marks an important moment in the life of the pop singer, who has stood out for her authenticity and musical evolution, also reflected in a bridal look that breaks with tradition, showing her personality and new artistic stage.
