Last week, Emiliano Aguilar, Pepe Aguilar's eldest son, generated controversy by not congratulating the singer on Father's Day and, instead, dedicating a message to Adrián Arce, his stepfather.

After several days of speculation, Emiliano broke his silence to clarify the reason behind this decision.

In a brief conversation with journalist Nelssie Carrillo, the rapper assured that he has no problems with his father and that he loves him very much, but he explained that his stepfather was the one who was there for me during the difficult times in his life.

“I don’t have any problems with my dad, I love him very much, but my stepfather is the one who has been there for me through thick and thin. He’s the one who has helped me since I was a kid, he’s been there since I was 10 years old,” he indicated.

This situation has generated tension in the Aguilar family. Leonardo Aguilar, the rapper's brother, criticized Emiliano for considering him ungrateful and having a short memory regarding the support that Pepe Aguilar gave him in difficult times.

For his part, Emiliano indicated that he does not care about the opinions or actions of his family, since he remains focused on his career and his own path.

The relationship between Emiliano and Pepe Aguilar has always been complicated due to the distance that has existed between them.

Recently, Pepe Aguilar spoke in an interview with Paty Chapoy about his distancing himself from Emiliano and indicated that he believes it is due to the fact that Emiliano grew up with his mother far from him.

“It happened that he is a kid who did not grow up with me, he grew up with his mother (…) I did not distance myself. His mother took him. When I was not at home, that's how it is… but I am not accusing anyone. It was 33 years ago. In Mexico City, here We lived together, and we didn't get along. And one day she decided to leave (…) She took the furniture and the car (…) She left me in an empty house,” he explained.

“Unfortunately, that's why there wasn't the relationship I would have liked to have with my son. I tried to look for him, at first it was a little difficult to get her to lend him to me. I traveled from Mexico to Tijuana to see my son alone, back and forth,” he explained.
