Andrea Meza reveals the details of her role as a judge in Miss Universe 2025
Miss Universe 2020, Andrea Meza, offered details of her new role as a judge in the important beauty pageant
Former Miss Universe Andrea Meza is preparing to experience the competition from a completely new perspective. The Mexican beauty queen was appointed to the judging panel that will have the crucial responsibility of choosing the successor to the Miss Universe 2025 crown, an event to be held in Thailand. Before departing for the Asian country, Meza shared details of this significant role in a video posted on Telemundo's Instagram account. She will be part of the panel alongside other personalities such as Cuban journalist Ismael Cala and Brazilian painter Romero Britto. Miss Universe 2025 will be broadcast on November 20th on Telemundo. The Selection Process: In her remarks, the 2020 Miss Universe winner described the various stages of the evaluation process. “Being part of the selection committee means I'll be part of the jury that interviews the contestants,” Andrea explained. She detailed that the jury evaluates the candidates in clearly defined phases: “There are different stages, there's the preliminary round and of course the final stage where the contestants parade in evening gowns and swimsuits, and there are the final questions.” As a member of the committee, her task is “to evaluate everything, each stage, and in the end, do my part to choose the new queen.” What qualities should a Miss Universe have? With the experience of having lived through the process firsthand, Andrea Meza is clear about what she looks like in the next queen. She revealed that she prioritizes finding a woman with presence, who knows herself, and, fundamentally, who has a defined purpose. The ultimate goal is to find a Miss who, “when she arrives anywhere, steals everyone's attention.” Taking advantage of her dual role as a former queen and now a judge, Meza addressed the contestants, advising them to “enjoy this moment, because it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.” She urged them to give their best: “Give it your all,"Everything they've prepared these past months, now it's time to show it in front of the entire organization." Andrea didn't travel alone. She's accompanied by a Telemundo team made up of Jacky Bracamontes, Dayanara Torres, and Carlos Adyan, who will be in charge of preparing special content before and during the Miss Universe final night, which the network will broadcast next Thursday, November 20. So far, the favorites include: Miss Mexico, Fatima Bosch; Miss Thailand, Praveenar Singh; Miss Venezuela, Stephany Abasali; Miss Puerto Rico, Zashely Alicea Rivera; and others.
