Drake releases three hit albums and in a track reveals his father's cancer diagnosis
The Canadian rapper surprised by publishing three albums: “Iceman”, “Maid of Honor” and “Habibti”, adding 43 new songs
Drake marked his comeback and the hip-hop world came to a standstill. The rapper returned with three surprising albums: “Iceman”, “Maid of Honor” and “Habititi”.
Taken together, the three projects add up to 43 new songs, in which the Canadian rapper opens the doors of his personal life like few times before.
The confession about his father's health
One of the most poignant moments of the album is found in the track “Make Them Cry”. There, Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, reveals that her father, Dennis Graham, was recently diagnosed with an unspecified type of cancer.
Far from hiding, Dennis Graham responded proudly on Instagram. Early in the morning on Friday, he shared a photo of an emotional open zo between father and son, accompanied by the message: “The Ice Man and the Good Man doing what we do. May there be no misunderstandings”.
Of course, Drake couldn't avoid addressing his legendary rivalry with Kendrick Lamar. In “Make Them Cry,” the rapper reflects on the impact of that confrontation that marked a before and after in the decade.
It is remember that Lamar released “Not Like Us”, a overwhelming success that in 2025 won five Grammy awards, including Song and Recording of the Year. On that issue, Kendrick got so far as to call Drake a “certified pedophile”, a low blow that resonated strongly in the industry.
Drake replies
“I came here to start from scratch and maybe I can finally get some sleep, but I can only think about the mountain I have to climb and the conversations that surround my music as if they were Twin Peaks. With Dot in 202 4 it was an important piece. So that's like, this shit is me, but it's not me. You guys keep asking me what did me / That's what did me”, the rapper states in his song, according to the Spanish translation.
Additionally, in another song, “Make Them Pay”, the artist addresses the disloyalty he perceived in his circle during those difficult months:
“I'm seeing everyone's true colors, truly / I'm feeling a pattern. / I'm bigger than everyone I eat a little grated cheese,” says a part of the piece translated into Spanish.
It's not the first time that Drake has opted for an overload of content. The rapper had already surprised the world in 2018 with the release ine expected of their double album “Scorpion”. However, the triple delivery of Iceman, “Habibti” and “Maid of Honor” raises the bet to a new level.
The three albums are already available on all streaming platforms.
