Fito Paez inaugurates the fifth edition of NPR's "El Tiny"
This week, National Public Radio began a new series of concerts, which will feature figures such as Gloria Estefan, Carlos Vives, and Silvana Estrada.

This Monday, National Public Radio (NPR) inaugurated the fifth annual edition of its iconic Tiny Desk concert series, known as "El Tiny," with the show by Argentine singer-songwriter Fito Paez.
The new series of concerts will take place starting September 15 until October 15, artists such as Gloria Estefan, Carlos Vives and Adrian Quesada will be appearing at the popular NPR offices in Washington.
“El Tiny” is NPR Music’s annual celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, which began this Monday, curated and produced by Alt.Latino co-hosts Felix Contreras and Anamaria Sayre.
This year, Alt.Latino also celebrates its 15th anniversary. Since its launch in 2010, the show has been an important platform for Latinx voices in music, art, and storytelling.
This anniversary coincides with Contreras receiving the prestigious Hispanic Heritage Foundation Journalism Award for his commitment to highlighting Latin music.
“El Tiny is my favorite time of year because we celebrate Latin music in all its forms. Wait for it! We do that all the time! But El Tiny is when we feature very special artists and performances,” said Felix Contreras, co-host of Alt.Latino and co-producer of El Tiny.
El Tiny concerts premiere three times a week on NPR Music’s YouTube channel and on NPR.org.
