Kelly Clarkson returns to “The Voice” after the end of her talk show
The Grammy winner will sit back in the iconic red chair of the NBC show, just after ending her successful daytime show
Renowned singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson is preparing for a new chapter in her television career. NBC announced this Thursday via her Instagram account, that Clarkson will return as a coach on “The Voice” for the next season airing in the fall.
“Kelly's team is back on the load! Kelly Clarkson returns as coach this fall on The Voice!”, the chain confirmed in the publication.
A history of successes in “The Voice”
Clarkson is no a rookie to the singing competition program. Originally,she participated as a coach from season 14 through 21. Later, she returned for season 23, although d She decided to leave the show again to move to New York City with her two children following her divorce from Brandon Blackstock. The artist returned one more time for season 29 last year.
Clarkson's return to “The Voice” coincides with the culmination of his eponymous daytime talk show, after seven seasons.
Sources described to Page Six his exit from daytime television as “definitive”, and one of them explained that “it requires a lot of production, and looking at the panorama of daytime television, it is no longer sustainable.”
Clarkson herself confirmed the news on February 2nd through an emotional Instagram post. “I had the immense fortune to work with a group of people so extraordinary on “The Kelly Clarkson Show,” both in Los Angeles and New York,” the 44-year-old artist wrote.
“There have been so many incredible moments and shows throughout these seven seasons,” he added, thanking his team and inviting them two and to NBC for their support. Clarkson concluded his message assuring that, although he's saying goodbye to his daytime show, “this isn't goodbye.”
A new stage to be more present at home
In February, sources told People that the “American Idol” winner was ready for her “next stage,” which would give her “the space to be more present at home” with her two children: River Rose, 11 , and Remington, 9.
Last summer, Clarkson had to temporarily step away from his show to take care of his family after the death of his ex-partner, Brandon Blackstock , who died after a long private battle against melanoma. In September 2025, he made an emotional return to his show before the announcement of his end.
