New Delhi: The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas conference, which was interrupted for the last two years due to the Corona epidemic, is going to start once again. India's External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar gave this information in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday, the first day of the winter session of Parliament. Informing the Parliament, External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said that after two years Indore city of Madhya Pradesh will host the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention. The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention will be held on 10 January 2023 and its chief guest will be the President of Guyana, Mohammed Irfan Ali.

According to media reports, India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar informed the Parliament on Wednesday that India will host the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Indore in January 2023. He said that this conference will be organized on 10 January 2023. Guyana's President Mohammad Irfan Ali will be the chief guest at the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention to be held in Indore next month.

The Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) convention is a flagship program of the Ministry of External Affairs and provides an important platform to connect with the overseas Indians. Australian Member of Parliament (MP) Janeta Mascarenhas will be the guest of honor at the Yuva Pravasi Bharatiya Divas. The Ministry of External Affairs said that Australian Member of Parliament Janeta Mascarenhas will be the guest of honor at the Youth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held on January 8, 2023.

According to media reports, the 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas convention was organized on January 9 in the year 2021 despite the Corona pandemic. This conference was organized through video conferencing. The theme of the 16th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention 2021 was 'Contribution to self-reliant India'. On January 8, 2021, Yuva Pravasi Bharatiya Divas was also celebrated virtually on the theme Youth Achievers from India and Indian Diaspora.
