Internet services suspended in Beldaga, Murshidabad
The
West Bengal government on Saturday suspended internet services in parts of Murshidabad district till June 14 to check the spread of misinformation following the violence in Howrah. Internet services in Beldanga 1 block of Beldanga police station area and Beldanga 2 block covering Rezinagar and Shaktipur police station areas have been suspended till 6 am on June 14, the order said. Internet services have been suspended in the entire Howrah district till June 13 and Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been imposed in several areas like Uluberia, Domjur, and Panchala till June 15.

Kolkata Police, while Howrah (Rural) Superintendent of Police Soumya Roy has been made DCP (South West) of
Kolkata Police.
