The Election Commission of India on Friday ordered the Shinde faction to be renamed the Shiv Sena. The Election Commission also advised all political parties to reflect the democratic ethos and principles of internal party democracy and regularly disclose aspects of their party's internal working on their respective websites. , such as organizational details, conduct of elections, copy of constitution and list of office bearers.

Uddhav Thackeray faction spokesperson Anand Dubey said, the order is what we suspected. We were saying that we do not trust the Election Commission. When the matter is sub-judice before the Supreme Court and no final decision has been taken, this haste of the Election Commission shows that it acts as a BJP agent under the Central Government. We condemn it.

Uddhav faction leader Sanjay Raut, reacting to the announcement of the Election Commission, said, "We need not worry." The public is with us. We will go with a new symbol and put this Shiv Sena once again in the people's court.

On the other hand, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, while reacting to this announcement, said, this is the victory of truth. Democracy is a victory. It is victory of Balasaheb's thoughts and victory of all those people who supported me. This is the victory of Shiv Sena workers. 

BJP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, Shiv Sena following the ideology of Balasaheb Thackeray, CM Shinde's Shiv Sena has become the original Shiv Sena. I wish them the best of luck. We were confident from day one. Because if you see the earlier orders of the Election Commission on various parties, they were similar decisions. 

Shinde said, this country runs on the constitution prepared by Babasaheb Ambedkar. We formed our government on the basis of that constitution. The order of the Election Commission that has come today is on the basis of merit. I express my gratitude to the Election Commission.
