Security forces have achieved great success in Jammu and Kashmir. Security forces have killed four terrorists in a joint operation in Sindhra area of Poonch. The first encounter between the security forces took place around 11:30 pm last night following which drones with surveillance equipment were deployed.

According to the Indian Army official, the encounter resumed this morning with heavy exchange of fire between the security forces and the terrorists. Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were part of the operation along with other forces. The terrorists killed in the operation are most likely foreign terrorists and their identity is being ascertained.

In addition, an encounter is underway between security forces and terrorists at Surankote in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to sources, from across the Line of Control, ISI and leaders of terrorist organizations have instructed terrorists to infiltrate and reach this side to carry out major terrorist incidents around Independence Day and Raksha Bandhan.

In Chakkan Da Bagh on June 25 also, three terrorists were killed by the security forces, foiling the terrorist infiltration attempt. Their bodies had fallen on the zero line, which could not be recovered. An army soldier was also injured in that encounter. The dead body of the terrorist who was piled up in Chakkan Da Bagh on Monday was brought to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital of Poonch for postmortem late in the evening.
