As the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 drew to a close, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to social media platform X to share his sentiments regarding the electoral process. PM Modi's tweet, posted around 7 pm, expressed gratitude to voters across India for their participation, highlighting the overwhelming support received by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). He emphasized that the resounding endorsement of the NDA by voters, particularly from the youth and women demographics, signifies a demand for good governance.

Throughout the day, polling took place across 88 seats in 13 states, with notable voter turnout figures reported from various regions. West Bengal and Chhattisgarh recorded over 72 percent voting by 5 pm, while Rajasthan witnessed 59 percent turnout. Manipur and Tripura registered a high voter turnout of 76 percent. Bihar and Maharashtra recorded 53 percent and 53.51 percent voting, respectively, by the same time. Additionally, Assam saw 70.66 percent turnout, while Madhya Pradesh recorded 55 percent participation.
PM Modi's engagement during the voting period included a kilometer-long roadshow in Bareilly, where enthusiastic crowds lined the streets to welcome him. Riding atop a saffron-colored vehicle adorned with floral decorations, Modi proudly held the BJP's lotus symbol, symbolizing the party's electoral aspirations. Alongside him were Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Bareilly Lok Sabha candidate Chhatrapal Gangwar. Bareilly, situated in the heart of the Rohilkhand region in western Uttar Pradesh, is considered a BJP stronghold. The roadshow, which commenced from the Rajendra Nagar area, marked a significant event in the electoral campaign leading up to the voting scheduled for May 7 in Bareilly during the third phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections.
