It was considered a direct violation of FCRA to spend it on any other item other than the work for which the foreign funds were received. Later, the central government decided to cancel the FCRA license of Teesta and her husband Javed Anand's Sabrang Trust. The government alleged that this trust violates the FCRA. Also, they use foreign money in anti-national activities.
