CM Yogi Adityanath on Thursday launched Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme for 22 lakh employees and pensioners of UP. A cashless medical facility will be available to more than 75 lakh people in total. A short film based on the cashless medical scheme was also screened on the occasion of the launch of the scheme at Lok Bhavan.

On the occasion of the launch program of Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay State Employees Cashless Medical Scheme, the Chief Minister presented 10 beneficiaries Chandrapal Singh, Suman Singh, Aziz Ahmed, Vandana Mishra, Rachna Devi, Shiv Gopal Singh, Rakesh Choubey, Shailendra Singh, Bal Govind Singh, Ritu Singh. He was given a symbolic State Health Card.

CM Yogi said on this occasion that such a mechanism should be made to implement the scheme, so that state employees and pensioners can download their state health card themselves. To get the benefit of cashless treatment in government or empaneled hospitals, if required.

The Chief Minister said that in the last tenure itself, our government had directed the concerned department to prepare an action plan to provide cashless medical facilities to the state employees. Through this, state employees, pensioners and their dependents will get cashless medical facilities without any financial limit in government medical institutions, medical colleges and government hospitals. Along with this, cashless medical facility up to Rs.05 lakh will be available in empaneled hospitals under Ayushman Bharat scheme. In these hospitals, arrangements will be made if the expenditure exceeds the prescribed limit.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said that after the formation of the government, instructions were given to provide cashless medical facilities to the employees in 100 days. Benefiting 75 lakh people was a big challenge. Now with the implementation of the cashless medical scheme, state employees, pensioners and their dependents will be able to get cashless medical facilities in all government hospitals as well as affiliated hospitals under Ayushman Bharat through State Health Card.

Brajesh Pathak said that it is mandatory to have a state health card to take advantage of the scheme. The card making facility has started from Thursday. All state employees and pensioners should get their state health card made at the earliest, so that they can get the benefit of cashless medical facility if needed. For this , the facility of online application will be available on the web portal https://sects.up.gov.in . The State Health Card can be downloaded or printed after the beneficiary's online application is verified by the Drawing-Disbursing Officer.
