Samajwadi Party (SP) has learned a big lesson from the crushing defeat in the 2022 UP assembly elections. He has given the responsibility of campaigning for the SP candidate to the prominent leaders in the Gola Gokarnath Assembly by-election of Lakhimpur Kheri. Duty has been imposed from their state office. Among the prominent leaders, special attention is being given to the leaders who influence the castes.
For this, former MP MLAs, former MLAs and office bearers of the organization have been engaged in Bareilly, Pilibhit, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Lucknow, Sitapur and Hardoi districts. In the assembly elections 2022, the SP did not send any MP, former MP, MLA, former MLAs and prominent leaders to campaign for the SP candidate. It had to bear the brunt, but after the death of the SP founder, the SP has started changing the decisions.
It is expected to benefit from this. Duty of former minister and MLA Ataur Rehman, former MLA Vijaypal Singh, former minister Bhagwat Sharan Gangwar, MLA Shahjil Islam etc. has been imposed from Bareilly. By-election is going on in Gola assembly seat. Here BJP MLA Arvind Giri died of a heart attack on September 5 in Sitapur's Sidhauli on his way to Lucknow. Giri was an MLA for the 5th time.
Arvind Giri, who started politics with SP, became MLA on SP ticket in 1996, 2002 and 2007, but won on BJP ticket in 2017 and 2022. But, this time in the by-election, BJP has fielded Arvind Giri's son Aman Giri, while SP has again bet on former MLA Vinay Tiwari. Both the candidates have filed their nominations. However, the last date for nominations is November 14.
Voting on November 3
BSP and Congress have not fielded candidates on Gola seat. Due to this, the election between SP-BJP is certain. However, to contest this seat, six contenders have bought nomination papers in 16 sets. Here the voting will be held on November 3. In which 3.91 lakh voters will elect the new MLA by casting their votes.
