Monterrey is looking for an MLS forward: Rafael Navarro, Peter Musa or Luis Suarez, the candidates
Rafael Navarro, Colorado Rapids forward, has one foot in Liga MX and could sign with Monterrey by September 12th
Monterrey would once again shake up the Liga MX transfer market if they land one of the three MLS candidates that they are supposedly analyzing and that could to leave the Brazilian Rafael Navarro of Colorado Rapids, the Croatian Peter Musa of FC Dallas and Luis Suarez of Inter Miami.
According to information handled by several media outlets in Monterrey such as Multimedios and ABC Deportes, who assure that the team led by the Spaniard Domenec Torrent is looking for the forward who can take the place of the Spaniard Borja Mayoral who could not reach the Monterrey team from Getafe.
Then, by not accessing the European market in the nine days remaining for the closing of the Liga MX registrations, the Rayados board headed by Jose Antonio Noriega has been in negotiations with the leaders of Major League Soccer to reach an agreement for the services of the Brazilian Rafael Navarro of the Colorado Rapids.
According to unofficial version, everything is resolved with Navarro in regards to the amount of the transfer, but the Brazilian from the Colorado team has allowed himself to be asked for a high salary that is out of Monterrey's budget and for that reason they have looked for other options like Croatian Peter Musa of FC Dallas, but the bet is on Navarro.
Even this Wednesday, several media outlets joined the versions that Uruguayan Luis Suarez could also join these options, without taking into account the sanction he could receive for the spit he threw at a Seattle Sounders assistant and that was seen by thousands of people at the end of the broadcast of the Leagues Cup championship game last Sunday.
There are many versions that place Suarez in Monterrey, but the reality is that for some time this player has been the object of desire of the Rayados, so it would not affect the transfer market either.
Suarez is about to receive the sanction he has earned for his participation in the unfortunate spitting incident, which could put a stop to some negotiations, in addition to the spectacular life enjoyed by the family of these players in Miami.
It will be decided in the next few hours whether they decide to bet on this nominal forward who will come to shore up a somewhat unprotected area of ??the Monterrey team and allow them to fight for the title with Tigres, America and Cruz Azul.
