California legislators are evaluating an alternative to find a solution to the lack of healthcare personnel in the state, by hiring qualified medical personnel from Mexico.
Bill AB 2386, introduced by Assemblymember David Alvarez, is intended to eliminate the gap currently faced by millions of Californians living in areas with poor access to medical services.
The proposal presented in the Assembly focuses on creating a sustainable pathway for the training of international doctors, particularly of young doctors from Mexico.
