The Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) announced the appointment of Hispanic Commander Norma Carrillo as Deputy Chief of the department.
In a press release, the LBPD reported that Commander Carrillo assumes the position effective January 10, 2026.
According to LBPD Chief Wally Hebeish, Carrillo has demonstrated a strong commitment to the future of the police department and to the public safety of Long Beach, highlighting his emphasis on education and professional development.
