Bad Bunny and his tribute to ABBA in his show in Sweden
The Puerto Rican singer surprised his fans in Stockholm by performing the classic "Dancing Queen" fusing Scandinavian pop with his Caribbean roots
The global phenomenon Bad Bunny once again marked an unprecedented milestone in his career by uniting two seemingly opposite musical worlds. During Friday night, in the first of his two concerts in the Swedish capital as part of his world tour “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS World Tour”, the Puerto Rican artist unleashed euphoria by paying a surprising tribute to the local group ABBA, performing their emblematic 1976 classic, “Dancing Queen”.
The historic evening took on truly magical overtones when the iconic pop melody began to masterfully merge with the chords of the Puerto Rican cuatro. This native instrument of the Caribbean island was the main protagonist of an acoustic and tropical arrangement that completely transformed the disco music classic.
Wearing his characteristic off-white ensemble, Bad Bunny started the show to the rhythm of “La Mudanza,” marking the beginning of a setlist full of hits and exclusive surprises.
Although both the songs and the exchanges with the audience took place strictly in Spanish, the language barrier was immediately dissolved. Thousands of fans from Sweden and various corners of the world—who carried flags of different nationalities—responded with a deafening ovation.
The highlights of the night also included the performance of their most recent hits such as “Nuevayol” and “Baile unforgettable.”
The show in the Scandinavian country not only consolidates the global reach of the Latin urban genre in historically complex markets, but also positions this stop as an unforgettable cultural milestone.
After concluding his double date in Stockholm this Saturday, the Puerto Rican will prepare to continue his journey through Europe with his next show set in Poland.
