A mother and her 13-year-old son died last week from an apparently intentional fire after fleeing a domestic violence incident they suffered in Mexico.
Rossy Bórquez and his son Atiel were identified by relatives as the victims who died in the fire that broke out on May 14 in the city of Montebello, in Los Angeles County.
The flames broke out shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, at his home in the 100 block of South 5th Street, south of Whittier Boulevard, in the city of Montebello, where neighbors reported hearing explosions before the fire engulfed the house.
