A paletero who was detained four months ago by ICE in Los Angeles County was released and was able to reunite with his family.
Ambrocio Lozano, known to his customers as Enrique, was shortly arrested after 1:00 pm on Monday, June 23, in front of a church at the intersection of Culver Boulevard and Sepulveda Street in Culver City, where his ice cream cart was abandoned.
“Tell them I'm coming,” the Hispanic man said on October 16, moments before boarding a plane from New Mexico to Los Angeles after being detained in an immigration detention center for 114 days.
