Mukesh Ambani Resigns: Mukesh Ambani, chairman of the Reliance Group, has resigned from the board of directors of his telecom services company Reliance Jio. Along with this, his eldest son Akash Ambani has been made the new chairman of the company. Reliance Jio Infocomm informed the stock exchanges on Tuesday.

According to this, the board of directors of the company met on Monday and approved the appointment of non-executive director Akash Ambani as the chairman of the company. Before that Mukesh Ambani had resigned from the post of chairman of Reliance Jio. Along with this, Pankaj Mohan Pawar has been appointed as the Managing Director of the company for the next five years. At the same time, Raminder Singh Gujral and KV Chaudhary have been appointed as independent directors.

Till now Mukesh Ambani was the chairman of Reliance Jio. His resignation and the appointment of Akash Ambani are being seen as handing over the leadership to the new generation. Please tell that Mukesh Ambani will continue to be the chairman of Jio Platforms Limited.

Apart from Akash Ambani, a graduate in Economics from Brown University, some other new people have been included in the company. Pankaj Mohan Pawar has been appointed as the Managing Director of Reliance Jio. Raminder Singh Gujral and KV Chaudhary have been made additional directors on the board. Both have been appointed independent directors for 5 years.
