During the day on Monday, the Mexican peso registered a decline of 0.32% against the dollar, pressured by the increase in tensions between the United States and Iran and by investors' expectations regarding the publication of US inflation data. Despite this, the US currency maintains a negative trend in broader periods, with a fall of 0.57% in the last week and an annual depreciation of 6.52%.
The Bank of Mexico (Banxico) reported that the official closing on Monday, July 13, was $17.5240 pesos per dollar, a figure calculated from the average of bank transactions carried out during the day. However, because the price of the dollar constantly fluctuates while the markets remain open, the exchange rate closed around $17.52 pesos per US currency.

The FIX exchange rate is a value determined by Banxico based on the average of the quotes observed in the wholesale exchange market, where banks and financial institutions carry out currency purchase and sale operations.
Meanwhile, the exchange rate for the payment of obligations denominated in foreign currency was set at $17.4842 pesos per dollar. This value is used to settle obligations agreed in dollars within Mexico, in accordance with the provisions of current legislation.
