This week, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) informed American consumers of the voluntary recall of at least 12,660 gas grills, which were sold at retail chains Walmart and Lowe's.
According to the details provided by the regulatory entity in its statement, these recalled grills correspond to the famous Cuisinart brand, which so far is related to 37 cases of incidents during its use; Although no injuries have been reported, the company has decided to agree to preventively withdraw its product from the market.
In this sense, the CPSC highlighted that, in most cases, “the tempered glass window of the pizza oven can break during use, posing a risk of serious laceration injuries,” it said.
In addition, it indicated that the recalled product corresponds to Cuisinart Propel four-burner 3-in-1 gas grills with griddle, stove burner and pizza oven sold at both retailers, both in the United States and Canada, between 2024 and 2026, model CGG-6331 and number 26-605.
