Land Rover updates the Defender with more customization and luxury
The 2027 Defender receives new finishes, more technology, new colors and a Vertex version focused on luxury and adventure
Few trucks have managed to combine prestige, off-road capabilities and premium presence like the Land Rover Defender. Now, the British brand presents an update for the 2027 model that seeks to reinforce that formula with more customization possibilities, better finishes and new configurations designed for different types of customers.

The strategy does not involve radically changing the identity of the vehicle. Instead, Land Rover has preferred to perfect a recipe that remains in strong demand in the luxury SUV segment. The result is a broader range, with a higher level of equipment and alternatives that are aimed at both those seeking daily comfort and lovers of off-road getaways.

One of the protagonists of this renewal is the new Defender Vertex, a version that arrives to be among the most exclusive options in the family.
Vertex, a new proposal within the range
The Defender Vertex incorporates a more sophisticated and aggressive image thanks to a series of specific elements. These include new bumpers, a redesigned grille, exterior details in Shadow Atlas Matte, a gloss black rear spoiler and yellow brake calipers that provide a striking visual contrast.
Visible rear tow hooks with yellow finishes and new aesthetic details have also been added that seek to clearly differentiate this variant from the rest of the offer.
The brand's intention is to attract customers who want a Defender with a more exclusive appearance without giving up its renowned off-road capabilities.
More colors and materials to customize
Personalization takes on an even more important role in the Defender 2027. The range incorporates new shades such as Woolstone Green, Borasco Grey, Patagonia White Matte, Carpathian Grey, Fuji White and Santorini Black.
Among the new features also appears Namib Orange, a color inspired by the desert landscapes of Namibia that provides a completely different personality to the vehicle.
In the cabin, buyers will be able to choose between Windsor leather, new generation fabrics and premium finishes available in different color combinations. In addition, Land Rover is launching a glossy protective film with self-healing properties to help preserve the appearance of the bodywork against everyday wear and tear.
More comfort for everyday life
The improvements also reach the equipment. The Defender 90 and 110 feature three-zone climate control, an improved air purification system, an ambient quality sensor and an integrated household power socket.
For its part, the Defender 130 raises the bar with four-zone climate control. Another important novelty is the new 2 2 2 interior configuration for the Defender 110, which replaces the central bench with two captain's seats in the second row to offer a more comfortable experience on long trips.
OCTA remains the most powerful
For those seeking maximum performance, the Defender OCTA continues to be the reference of the range. This version receives adjustments that allow its 4.4-liter biturbo V8 engine with mild hybrid technology to develop 540 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.
Thanks to this configuration, the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds, a remarkable figure for a vehicle of its size.
As for pricing, the 2027 Defender 90 S will start at $62,950. The new Vertex will start at approximately $90,450, while the Defender 110 and 130 will have base prices of $66,950 and $75,950. At the top of the range will be the Defender OCTA, whose value starts at $160,750.
