Walmart is recalling camping stoves due to safety risks
The recall is for the Ozark Trail brand tabletop camping stove
In a statement, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) warned consumers about the recall of the Ozark Trail brand tabletop camping stove due to a safety risk.
According to the agency, approximately 201,000 dark green tabletop stoves are being recalled, which were sold at Walmart with model number BG2247A1 and the orange “Ozark Trail” logo on the front, priced at $45 each.
The reason for the recall is that investigations confirmed, through 26 reports, that the stoves had leaks, which could cause an explosion. To date, at least 16 cases of second-degree burn injuries have been reported.
In this regard, the Commission suggested that consumers stop using the product or return it to the Walmart store where it was purchased for a refund.
