Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren held a high-level review meeting at the Jharkhand Ministry on Tuesday. During the meeting, he instructed officers to expedite the appointment process, setting an ambitious target to fill 30,000 government posts by September. Additionally, Soren emphasized the importance of resolving public issues through local police engagement and urged the swift completion of several key infrastructure projects.

Accelerating the Hiring Process

Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed officials to finalize all ongoing appointment procedures promptly. He stressed that the lack of human resources in government offices negatively impacts departmental efficiency and the implementation of public interest projects. Soren announced a target to fill approximately 30,000 vacant positions across various government departments by the end of September 2024. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to meeting these deadlines.

Focus on Police and Excise Constable Recruitment

In the meeting, Chief Minister Soren ordered the acceleration of the recruitment process for 5,000 police constables and 583 excise constables. Officials assured the Chief Minister that the recruitment of excise constables would be completed by the end of July 2024, and the police constable recruitment would be finalized by August 15, 2024.

Expedited Flyover Construction

The Chief Minister instructed the Road Construction Department to expedite the flyover construction from Sirmatoli to Mecon Chowk. He emphasized the need to address any obstacles swiftly and advance the work without unnecessary delays. Soren also directed the Urban Development Department to prioritize and hasten the Kantatoli flyover construction.

Smart City Developments: Taj Hotel and Apollo Hospital

Soren highlighted the construction of Taj Hotel and Apollo Hospital in Smart City Ranchi as top priorities for the state government. He urged the Urban Development Department to coordinate with Taj Hotel management to develop an action plan and complete all necessary procedures for the Apollo Hospital setup promptly.

Public Engagement through Police Darbars

The Chief Minister urged police officers to enhance the policing system in Ranchi, Jamshedpur, and Dhanbad by integrating modern equipment. He instructed field-level police officers to organize public darbars in their respective areas to listen to and address public grievances. Soren emphasized increased police activity in both rural and urban areas to deter criminal activities.
