Karol G and Marco Antonio Sols are looking for fans to participate in the video for Collecting Wounds
With this initiative, the artists are looking for people who connect emotionally with their song, a ballad that addresses themes of heartbreak and nostalgia.
Karol G and Marco Antonio Sols launched a call for their fans to participate in the video of their collaboration “Collecting Wounds,” which is part of the new album by Colombian singer Tropicoqueta.
The Colombian singer shared the call for entries on social media. "Did something happen to you that left a mark on you? Do you know this song by heart and feel like it was written for you?" If “Collecting Wounds” has touched your soul, we want you to be part of a unique moment: the first time we sing it live, in front of those who have truly felt it.”
With this initiative, the artists are looking for people who connect emotionally with their song, a ballad that addresses themes of heartbreak and nostalgia, to be part of the first live performance of the song, which they will record in Mexico City.
“We are looking for people with authentic energy, raw emotion, and a desire to live this song with their hearts,” he added.
Karol G and Marco Antonio Solís will be in charge of selecting the lucky ones who will be able to attend the recording in which they will perform the musical theme live especially for the winners.
Who can participate?
To participate, those interested must be residents of Mexico City and register through an official link provided by Karol G on her social networks.
Fans must also share a personal story in writing or in video that reflects their connection with the lyrics of the song to demonstrate their affinity with the subject.
The production seeks to capture genuine emotions, so only those who convey this authenticity will be selected. Confirmation will be sent by email before the event, scheduled for this August.
On June 20, Karol G released Tropicoqueta, her fifth studio album, which includes collaborations with artists such as Marco Antonio Solís and Manu Chao.
The songs on the album fuse rhythms such as reggaeton, mambo, merengue, bachata and mariachi, paying homage to the popular romantic Latin American music with which the singer grew up.
After its release, Karol G assured that Tropicoqueta is a love letter to her roots, to her identity. A project into which he put his heart and soul, and with which, he believes, many will feel identified.
This album sounds like a little piece of all of us, it began as a wish in August 2023, since then I have been leaving some clues along the way and I can say that when I finished it, I did it with my heart full of the love I received in each country I visited, he stated
